TerraCube

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 3, 2026

The short version: TerraCube turns public scientific data into climate and energy estimates for a property. They are estimates — helpful for understanding a home, but not professional advice and not a guarantee. Use the service fairly, and we will do our best to keep it useful and available.

These terms are the agreement between you and TerraCube for using our website and app. We have written them to be readable, because we want you to actually read them — especially the section on what our estimates are and are not.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using TerraCube, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

What TerraCube is

TerraCube produces climate, natural-hazard, air-quality, and building-energy estimates for property locations you enter. We build these estimates from publicly available scientific datasets — such as global climate model projections and weather and environmental data published by scientific agencies — combined with our own calculations. The service is informational: it exists to help you understand a property, not to make decisions for you.

Important: estimates, not professional advice

Everything TerraCube shows you — scores, projections, ranges, and outlooks — is an estimate produced by models running on open data. Models simplify the real world, open datasets have gaps and uncertainties, and conditions at a specific property can differ from what any model predicts. That means:

  • Our outputs are not professional engineering, insurance, financial, or legal advice, and they are not a survey or inspection of any property.
  • They are not a guarantee of how a property will perform, what it will cost to run, or what hazards it will or will not experience.
  • Before making a significant decision — buying, selling, renovating, or insuring a home — talk to qualified professionals who can assess the actual property.

The service and its outputs are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Your account

You are responsible for your account: keep your sign-in credentials private, give us accurate information, and let us know if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement to use the service.

Fair use

When you use TerraCube, you agree not to:

  • break the law, or use the service to harm or deceive others;
  • probe, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its data;
  • scrape, bulk-download, or resell the service or its outputs without our written permission;
  • misrepresent TerraCube's estimates as guarantees or professional advice.

Shared report links

You can create a link that lets others view a property report. Anyone with the link can see that report, so share it thoughtfully. You are responsible for what you choose to share and with whom.

Ending the relationship

You can stop using TerraCube at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and data by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other users at risk; where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive — such as the disclaimers and liability limits — continue to apply after an account is closed.

Availability and changes

We work to keep TerraCube available and improving, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and the public datasets we rely on may be updated, corrected, or withdrawn by their publishers, which can change the estimates you see.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TerraCube and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost savings, or losses from decisions made in reliance on the service or its estimates. Where applicable law does not allow a liability to be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent that law permits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TerraCube's operator is established, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you protections that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, make the update easy to notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
